..and so it begins.
I've finally got my 5D and holy crap it is a beast. Most times when I hold it I think to myself 'I don't deserve this', a statement my friend Kyle wholeheartedly agrees to, but that's just because he's jealous. Very jealous. Yes, shhh, it's ok, Kyle.
S'all good.
Moving on, this is the first of very many photos that I will be taking with this delightful piece of technology. The gentleman you see in the photo was situated in a small subway underneath a bridge in Southbank, London. He was really funny. To most people who walked past him without showing any financial appreciation for his wonderful (seriously) music, he'd say 'Where's ma money?' in a thick Italian accent. After I'd finished snapping away we introduced ourselves but unfortunately I've forgotten his name. To be honest, I'm pretty sure I didn't fully understand it in the first place. Nice guy though.
I've started shooting in Black and White (for now) at the suggestion of Kyle to better get a feel for lighting and contrast in shots so you'll be seeing a lot of B&W photos.
Taken at 67mm, F/4.0, shutter speed 1/500 and ISO-1600. Basic color balancing and curves adjustment in Photoshop.
