Well, after another long period since the last photo I posted, here's another. I just got back from visiting my girlfriend, Anna, in Paris, who's there studying French for four months. I was adamant about doing a lot of photography whilst I was in Paris but, as usual, only ended up doing a minimal amount. Although, photographically the trip was disappointing, the four days we spent together were great.
About the photo; everybody's photographed it and it's been seen by all before, and because of this I made a mental note not to photograph it. However, when we came round the corner onto this huge square (can't recall the name - Anna was doing all the map reading) and saw the amazing sunset behind it I couldn't resist. I took a few straight up shots of it before I noticed a water fountain and decided to take a few shots through the falling water. This is how I got the 'watercolour' like effect.
Unfortunately because of my new job I won't be able to get out and do as much photography. In addition any free time I have is spent with friends as I very often put socialising before photography. This however, should soon change as I really want to get back on track. I've been saying this for months, so now would be a good time to start..
Shot at 39mm, F/4.1, shutter speed 1/100 and ISO-400. Some basic curve adjustments in Photoshop.
